Upon my arrival in the afternoon to Detroit, I was reminded why i think this is a beautiful thriving city and it has always been. We headed to The Scarab Club where i will be doing Dr Sketchy's School of Anti Art Detroit, The building is an art gallery and also one of the most beautiful structures i have seen in the city. Detroit is rich in architecture... by that i don't mean the ruins porn. I mean the amazing historical building that are still standing in this city. Some of them are from as early as 1800s and they are being used to support the thriving community of artist and detroit based businesses that are still going strong. That is another thing about Detroit i love The art scene here is amazing.. combine all the artist here and you will have shows for months in Cle/Pitt two other rustbelt cities. 
The art is eclectic and it combines multiple visions and mediums and honestly is gears the city with such energy! 

Local food and beverage here are out of this world! The Oakland is one of the craft cocktail joins that i very much it love here and i adore being in an atmosphere they create. Artistic all around! Also yummy drinks!! Food the food in Detroit is amazing every time here i have been taken to amazing places to eat from Coney Island to Fancy Restaurants and the measure of detials and tradition in Detroit food is great!. Grand Trunk located in Downtown Detroit their food and atmosphere was fantastic they have a micro brewery and its delish. 

The people- Not once have i ever had a bad experience in Detroit with its people, some of the most amazing kind polite people i have ever met. Really best people ever! giggles
Also my performing here has been so magical as my burlesque rustbelt sister Lushes La Moan has always invited me to be part of the most amazing shows here, but i have been also an expectator for Theater Bizzar that has been an amazing show as well as other things that are more in the darker arts oriented that i love so much to attend. 
The masonic temple here puts on a great amazing place to be the energy was so grand! I have also performed at Cliff Bells, Hasting Street Ballroom and Northern Lights. Such a treat to have been part of these shows with my detroit sister! 

Perception it's a very powerful in our modern culture, Our culture steams from a concept of a perfection thru media interpretation that welcome sexist, sizeist and denigrating images of woman in the public. 
The idea of a Sizeism in our every day society keeps making me upset, To Objectify woman base on their body image is something that is very ignorant that seem to be completely acceptable by the public. It seems to be that in the current day an age teenagers are bombarded with being overly sexualized from a young age, Sexual education is given by a realty tv show that encourages teens to be pregnant and famous. Further affecting young woman from an early age is the kid friendly movies that have the same patriarchal message "Met some one you will fall in love with and ignore you family, friends and go thru direactions that will change your body, mind, self worth and background just to be loved by a man in power that will give you everything you will ever want as long as you have children that are male".  *Thank you Disney! 

The exclusion of body positive empowerment movements is to common,  These moments  at there core are involving woman to learn about body acceptance, Inner Self knowledge and Pride as Well as Sexual Education that brightens and encourages woman to take the lessons of self love and worth to a whole different level. Woman in power are denigrated to a great extend instead of being celebrated for their empowerment to women all over the world. 
Woman in media have a hard job and they do inspire many people, but at times their work off the camera is what gets them noted even more. 
Woman are powerful creatures by nature and no one can have more of an influence then a group of women, Education about us is extensive and since the beginning on life multiple woman have made history in a global scale. Not only for their appearance but for their brilliant minds and outspoken personalities, they paved the way for our rights and freedom that is why now more then ever is important to support the every day women. 

There is no appreciation for woman intellectuals let alone woman leader in our local community, Honestly this has to stop soon or our future as woman is going to look very very dark... There is local moments you can join to help th re education of the world and it all honestly starts at home. 

Support Women Own Businesses, Woman Directed Movies, Woman Activist, Woman positive Moments, Share them with friends and start a conversation in how to change our every day conversation positively.

There is no excuse for violence specially against an LGBT Community Member, A group of men attacked Jared Fox on Detroit Ave Last Night by Cocktails Cleveland. There is NO EXCUSE or REASON Why people should attack members of our community regardless of sexual preference. I'm angry and upset over this violence happening to my family .. yes this happens every day, every minute and there is no one to help them. THIS IS NO ACCEPTABLE WE NEED TO ERADICATE VIOLENCE! This makes my heart so heavy and so sad.In this state we do not have defense against a hate crime so I plead to our community to please please help stop this senseless violence against the community.
